"LEAF Marque farming is environmentally responsible farming, it’s farming you can trust, its independently inspected and its affordable for everyone, the farmer and the consumers."
What does the LEAF Marque logo mean?
LEAF Marque is an assurance scheme based on LEAF Farming principles.
It is independently inspected and certified by third party certification bodies.
The standards build on national and global assurance schemes within the agricultural industry and apply to all sectors of farming all over the world. It is the only scheme in existence that covers the whole farm.
Farms certified as LEAF Marque can use the LEAF Marque logo on all the produce they sell, direct to the consumer or to retail outlets.
"Our strategy is to offer our customers the very best quality fresh produce available, AND our policy to source from LEAF Marque accredited farms underpins this. We know that LEAF farmers, wherever they are in the world, embrace an environmental and socially responsible way of farming to ensure future sustainability.
As we understand how important it is for our customers to know where and how their produce is grown, we are now extending the LEAF Marque scheme to all of our overseas growers too. Many communities in the developing world rely on trade in fruit and vegetables for PUTTING FOOD ON THEIR TABLE AND KEEPING THEIR CHILDREN HEALTHY, so this will also help to make a difference to the long-term future of those farming communities, "

"To me, LEAF Marque means that anything I buy with the logo on it has been carefully produced by a farmer who cares about the same things I do: good, wholesome, affordable food, produced with care. I know I am doing the right thing by choosing LEAF Marque produce. I am supporting a charity that supports farmers to farm as well they possibly can. I can visit LEAF Demonstration farms if I want to, and ask the questions I have a right to ask about the food I buy for my family."
