"Support wildlife-friendly farming - look for the LEAF Marque"
LEAF VisitsYou can learn more about LEAF and Integrated Farm Management (IFM) by visiting any of a nationwide network of LEAF farms.
LEAF Demonstration Farms
These farms are all volunteers, carrying out IFM and showing other farmers how to adopt it. They provide living and working examples of how Integrated Farm Management can produce affordable food in harmony with the environment. They also provide a regional insight into the best local approach to IFM.
LEAF Innovation Centres
These centres research or pioneer new approaches in sustainable land management. By their very nature they are not typical working farms, but push forward the boundaries of Integrated Farm Management (IFM) through research and practical experimentation.

Open Farm Sunday
Open Farm Sunday is the farming industry’s annual open day. This years event was a huge success when 400 farms invited 150,000 visitors to pull on their wellies and find out what farmers do, why farms matter and get in touch with the land that feeds us. Put Sunday June 7th 2009 in your diary, for further information and sponsorship opportunities contact Roly Puzey at LEAF. Visit www.farmsunday.org to find out about Open Farm Sunday.
How to arrange a visit
Every farm is unique with different things to see, from animals and crops to wildlife and fresh produce. Activities during the visit may include a farm walk, nature trail, tractor & trailer ride, pond dipping or activities for children.
Get a group together - Every farm is a real working farm which means hosting visits takes time out of the farmers busy day. Therefore visits can only be arranged for groups.
The costs of a visit - Generally there is no charge for visits, although we would encourage you or your group to become a member of LEAF and support our work.
What you will I need to wear - Most farm visits take place on foot or on a trailer. You will need waterproofs and strong footwear.
The length of a visit - Visits take around 2 hours, depending on the size of the group and can be arranged at most times of the year.
How to arrange a farm visit - To arrange a farm visit simply search below for a Demonstration Farm or Innovation Centre and book on line or click on the map to find a farm or centre near you. Or contact the LEAF Office and tell us where in the country you would like to visit a farm, when and the name and size of your group.
